Thank you for your service
To the pickers and the scrapers and the hoe’rs and the rakers, to the suckers and the blowers and those that cart away, we thank you for your service in making Petersfield clean and tidy for this weekend’s act of Remembrance.
We would like to express our thanks to the band of 20+ volunteers, which included three of our local Petersfield Police officers and representatives of the Kings Arms Youth Project, who came out with Petersfield Society this weekend to work in our Clean-up for Remembrance.
Our thanks too for the efforts of the Norse Team who did the ‘heavy lifting’ during the week, weeding around the memorial, refreshing all the planters, and moving a significant volume of leaves to keep our roads and pavements clean and safe.
With the main cleanup taking place on the Saturday afternoon, a small team were out at 07:30 on Sunday morning for a final polish-up prior to the Remembrance service on Sunday.
