Faye Hughes

Faye was born in Manchester, grew up in Ely, and spent her 20’s and 30’s in London. She moved to Petersfield in 2017. She has worked in the Culture sector for close to 20 years, with a focus on arts and heritage charities including The National Trust, The National Opera Studio, Cultural Cooperation and The London Welsh Centre. She was a founding director of the Fitzrovia Chapel.

Faye is now Director of Making Space in Leigh Park, where they change lives through craft. Their charitable aims are to make positive differences through creativity, in small ways and large, to people from all walks of life.

Jon Allen

Despite a largely city-based career, Jon thinks of himself as a country person. Brought up in rural North Yorkshire he has a passion for countryside, natural and rural heritage, historic buildings and, he says, in more recent years walking the South Downs.

Jon has lived locally since 2011 and describes himself as having taken root. The majority of his working career has been as a civil servant with HMRC including operational, policy and senior leadership posts. He has also worked and volunteered in both the educational and heritage sectors.

Running through many of these roles a key thread has been an enthusiasm for improving how organisations work and Jon has already been working in the background with the Trustees improving systems and procedures.
